Fast, professional service; POOR diagnosis and recommendations The temperature lever in my shower had stopped working due to a broken thermostatic cartridge. On a Saturday afternoon, I booked an appointment for a plumber to remove (and ideally replace) the cartridge the next morning. The plumber showed up on time on Sunday morning and was professional and courteous which was great and appreciated. After tinkering with pliers for a little bit, the plumber told me my thermostatic cartridge had calcified and was not able to be removed. He told me the only solution was to remove the entire valve system and install a new one. He provided a labor estimate of $1,000 for that. Total job would be $2,000 to $3,000 with me buying a new valve system, fixtures, and paying for drywall repair (a large hole would need to be cut to do the job). He left and I was charged $95 for the visit. My house is only 15 years old and I found this hard to believe. After 10 minutes on google, I identified my specific type of valve system (Sigma Simply Safe) and found an instructional video on how to remove the thermostatic cartridge. It stated specifically that a 17 mm deep socket needed to be used with a ratchet for removal. I picked one up from Home Depot and the cartridge came out with very little effort. I ordered a new cartridge online and put it in. The shower is now working perfectly again. My total cost was $140 for the cartridge and about 30 minutes of my time. If you are a homeowner reading this, I have a couple of thoughts and suggestions: 1. Plumbers from larger groups like this seem to have very little motivation or incentive to actually fix things. This is not the first time I’ve been told that I needed a full replacement on a relatively new item. Last time it was an 8 year toilet that was leaking. I was told that I needed an entirely new toilet; all it needed was a new $5 gasket. 2. If you have a similar problem with a shower valve system, ask the plumbing group if they have someone who has specific experience with your type of system especially if it is not one they see everyday like Delta or Moen.

Joey P did an excellent job. He quickly diagnosed my plumbing leak had it repaired in no time. I was very pleased the area was left clean. Joey also provided information to mitigate other repair issues. Joey is a genuinely nice guy and I would call him again.

Mike came to perform a tune-up of our gas pack and performed it exceedingly well. It took him about an hour and a half to two hours and when he came back showed all of the specs along with pictures showing that despite it's age , the gas pack was still functional but was getting near the end of it's lifecycle. He took the time to explain all the readings and what he saw. He was very thorough and ready to answer any questions. I was pleased with the work and hope to have her m back for our a/c summer tune-up.

My experience with Horizon has been great! They are easy to reach and communicate with and their employees are very friendly. The work that they have done for me has been of the highest quality and fairly priced. Today Adan came by and while he was working we had a great conversation. I hope I don’t need to call them again but if I do, I feel comfortable that I will be treated well. I highly recommend the company and their services!

Great Service. Prompt and efficient. I called at 9:15 am and someone was here in about 1.5 hours. They diagnosed the problem and gave me a fair price for the repairs to be done tomorrow. I recommend them to anyone whose property has plumbing needs

Adan and Tommy were fantastic. I had initially called a different company for my septic high level alarm (worried about a bad pump). The other company said the pump was running and quickly realized that I needed to have my septic effluent line scoped (camera) to see if the pipe was blocked. I had used Horizon Services before and knew they had a pipe camera AND a locator (tells you where the line is and how deep it is). The team (Adan, Tommy and Jaylen) found the issue and quickly restored my septic system (the D-box was blocked with dirt due to a broken inspection pipe). They saved me THOUSANDS of dollars by finding out 1) the pump was working as designed, 2) the effluent pipe was clear (up to the dirt), and 3) my leach field was not the problem. I am grateful for their expertise and problem-solving skills. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Service Tech Mark Murphy is a rare find, he was absolutely wonderful. He took the time to ensure that I understand the importance of maintenance and suggested numerous options for continuous use of my system!

Joey and Gabriel did a fantastic job installing a brand new plumbing system around our house. Great service, knowledgeable and friendly. Not to mention a quick turn around. UPDATE: Unfortunately the good service was short lived. We noticed a leak under our kitchen sink and called Horizon to come look at the issue. There were two leaks and one of them wasn’t related to the plumbing they installed BUT it was clearly missed by them since it wasn’t brought to our attention before they handed over the project. We payed a pretty penny for the re-plumbing of the whole house, so at a minimum we would expect them to make sure there are no leaks and hand over quality work, but instead we were quoted AGAIN a high amount for them to fix the leak under our kitchen sink and when we didn’t agree we were told we had to pay the $90 fee for them coming to our house and giving us an estimate. My husband asked if this is the quality of work they deliver? They are hired to fix the plumbing and leave the house with a leak and then want to charge us more money to have them come out and fix their work? Ridiculous! It’s safe to say we learned the hard way to check the work before making the payment. We got the sink leak fixed by another plumbing company that offered a much cheaper estimate and did a great job. We will not be using Horizon again.
